Job description:

Standard Requirements        •        Engineer specialised in traffic management and traffic systems with experience not less than 7 years
Additional Requirements        
        
Matrix Reporting :        Technical Manager on technical matters; Regional Project Management Specialist on project and process matters
Reported By:        Site Supervision Team
Primary Function:        Responsible for the overall Traffic Engineering design reviews, testing, validation and verification, responsible for monitoring Traffic Management operations service levels by investor consortiums
Qualifications:        BSc in Engineering with major in Traffic Engineering, Elect Engineering or any closely related field
Knowledge:        •        General Knowledge in traffic engineering, traffic operations and systems operations and management.
•        Intelligent Transport Systems
•        Motorway and Trunk Road Communications (NMCS2, NRTS)
•        Urban Traffic Control
•        Security and Speed Enforcement
•        Real Time Passenger Information
•        Highway Lighting/Traffic Signals
•        Customer Information Systems
•        Wireless Communications
Experience:        •        Minimum 7 years experience of relevant experience in the field of ITS
•        At least two years demonstrable experience with ITS systems and their integration with the work process in traffic control centers.
•        At least two years experience with (acceptance) testing of ITS & Traffic Management Systems.
Attitude & Personal qualities:        •        Good communications skills
•        Adaptability, team work & focuses on results
•        Ability to relocate / travel to rural areas frequently
•        Arabic speaking candidates preferable
