Global Medical Recruiting currently recruiting Speech Therapist on behalf of Amana Healthcare located in the UAE. Speech Therapist from South Africa, Australian, NZ, Canada, and Arab Countries are invited to apply. Amana Healthcare is a medical and rehabilitation hospital which provides Long Term Medical Care, Post-Acute Rehabilitation services and Home Transition & Respite Care.Amana Healthcare has two facilities. One located in Al Ain, UAE and the second in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Amana's normal working hours are 48 hours per week.

Amana Healthcare provided Post-Acute Rehabilitation.
Amana Healthcare provides a specialized short-stay rehabilitation service for patients who need intensive rehabilitation after a stroke, brain injury, acute medical admission or orthopedic procedure such as a joint replacement, major fracture or amputation. The main objective of care is to return patients to their home or their work – with a focus on functional rehabilitation and maximizing independence in activities of daily living. This is achieved through intensive hands-on inpatient rehabilitation from a multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists – with most admissions lasting 30-90 days – and a supported transition to home and/or work with input from the Amana specialist team of physicians and rehabilitation experts including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and social workers. Our goal is to help our residents maximize their level of functioning and improve their quality of life. A dedicated team of specialists carries out complete assessments and design an individualized program of therapy for each resident.

Post-Stroke Rehabilitation: Deficiencies following a stroke or cranial bleeding including hemiplegia, aphasia, dysphagia and/or related post-stroke deficiencies.
Neurorehabilitation: Deficiencies following skull or brain injury incl. neurorehabilitation following major trauma with multi-system dysfunctions or exacerbations of MS, PD or other neurodegenerative diseases.
Medically Complex Rehabilitation: Bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, lung tissue diseases, COPD requiring respiratory therapy and rehabilitation; dementia; complicated adipositas.
Orthopedic Rehabilitation:
Post-fracture, FNOF; post-major joint surgery, TKJR, THJR; post-spinal surgery incl. intervertebral disc surgery; osteoporosis with complications; tendon or ligament ruptures; post-amputation

Therapeutic Services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Speech and language pathologists address general communication issues and swallowing dysfunction. Treatment plans are designed for individual needs such as:◦Recovery of speech, language and memory skills.◦Verbal and non-verbal communication, including programs for the hearing impaired.◦Oral muscle strength and functioning required for speaking and swallowing.

You must meet HAAD PQR requirements to work at Amana Healthcare.
BSc in Speech-language pathology/ Speech and language therapy /Speech pathology /Speech therapy/Speech AND Minimum of two (2) years’ experience post certification in Speech and phonetics in a hospital or clinical settings.
BSc in Communication or Psychology or Linguistics + Master’s Degree in speech language pathology AND Minimum of one (1) years’ experience post certification in Speech and phonetics in a hospital or clinical settings.
PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE/REGISTRATION: The applicant must have a valid professional license to practice, or registration (where applicable) from home country and/or country of last employment. Must have Good standing status.
GENDER: Both Males and Females.
NATIONALITIES: South Africa, Australian , NZ, Canada and Arab Countries.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English - Oral and Written.
