Job description:

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities:

-        Demonstrated skills in design, development, and implementation of mid to large composite distributed systems using web services in a multi-tiered environment.
-        Proven ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure, with the ability to evaluate and make recommendations regarding data integrity and security.
-        Data Architect, along with data modeling experience using modeling tools and canonical models.
-        An ability to assist in developing new Oracle based applications and offering technical support in maintaining and enhancing existing applications.
-        5+ years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of existing applications were developed using Oracle Designer 9i.
-        New applications are being developed under Oracle Fusion 11g. Hence, good knowledge of both environments is a must.

Skills & Responsibilities:

-        Applications Design: Design applications using Oracle Designer 9i and/or Oracle JDeveloper11g, Oracle Fusion 11g. The design components include components such as ERD, FHD, and business process, business rules.
-        Database Optimization Techniques such as Partitioned Tables, Queues, PLSql programming, Execution Plans, Data File management to support different usage, full range of Backup and Restore strategies, Indexes, XML optimization.
-        Applications Building: Assist with the development process: design, code, test and document.
-        Applications Test and Training: Participate in test planning and guide the user in testing newly developed applications.
-        Documentation: Prepare user manuals, technical user guides.
-        Applications Support: Support applications in the form of enhancement and maintenance such as bug fixing, continued enhancements training etc.
-        Technical advice: Provide technical advice and participate in departmental and organization wide studies and research to assist in planning, coordinating, evaluating and implementing Development projects as the need arises.
-        Experience in object relational mapping, UML modeling and OO modeling
-        Understanding of J2EE & EJBs.
-        Oracle Database Administration, Oracle Forms Server administration,Oracle Reports, Oracle eBusiness Suite, Oracle SOA Suite (BPEL), Oracle OPA.
-        Thorough knowledge of design and integration principles for complex, heterogeneous databases and SOA environments
-        Ability to evaluate and make recommendations regarding data integrity and security
-        Ability to develop methods of ensuring data incompatibilities among systems are systematically eliminated

-        Qualifications:

-        A University degree in a related discipline: software development, Computer Science, informatics engineering, ISM.
