Job description:
CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST IN RADIOLOGY (MASTERS DEGREE IN RADIOLOGY preferred), this is your opportunity to gain health experience abroad - DOHA QATAR. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to submit CV’s!
The position is available within the Radiology Department at one of the largest employers in the Gulf Region. The Medical Corporation work collaboratively to deliver high quality, patient centered care to Qatar's growing and diverse nations throughout eight highly specialized hospitals, sub-acute care services and the national Ambulance Service.
The Radiology Department are providing Diagnostic Imaging and interventional Radiology services to Out-Patient, In-Patient and Accident & Emergency areas. General Diagnostic Radiology, Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasonography & Doppler Studies, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine services to out- patients are by appointments while in-patient imaging services in all modalities are done as stat and urgent basis. Accident & Emergency services are done as stat basis covering 24 hrs a day.
The Radiology department is one of the busiest departments of the Corporation with an annual throughput of more than 450,000 patients a year. There is always a 10 to 20 % increase in number of patients each year. The steady rise in the number of patients seeking care has stimulated the expansion of services to meet the demand. Continued expansion of facilities for diagnosis and therapy is the focus of efforts in short term.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing policies and procedures regarding the operational system and sub-systems of the Radiology Department. Assists Radiology Supervisors with establishing department protocols and techniques. Reviews productivity of supervisory technical and non-technical staff. Prepares periodic statistical reports of department activities. Assumes
responsibility for maintaining department safety standards. Evaluates all technical and non-technical personnel for recruitment. Assists Department Chairman in hiring technical, clerical and ancillary personnel. Evaluate all X-ray equipment and purchasing. Maintains quality standards for equipment operation and films. Complies with company policies and procedures, and in particular infection control, safety and quality management. Perform other duties as requested.
Skills:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum: BA Degree in Radiology with 15 years plus experience in Radiology.
Preferred: MASTERS Degree in Radiology with 10 years plus experience in Radiology.
OTHER SKILLS:
Must have the capacity to apply problem-solving strategies in purposeful ways, both in situations where the problem and the desired solution are clearly evident and in situations requiring critical thinking and a creative approach to achieve an outcome. Must be patient/customer focused. Must be able to provide excellent service, develop partnerships and deliver results. Must be focused on teamwork and have ability to effective communication.High standard of English (written and verbal) essential .Basic Computer skills needed.
