Psychiatrists Consultant Child & Adolescent :Global Medical Recruiting

Global Medical Recruiting seeking international Medical Staff on behalf of THE CHILDREN'S CLINIC located in Bahrain. This is your opportunity to work abroad and experience the exciting multi-cultural work environment. Bahrain is a beautiful island state situated in the Arabian Gulf, east of Saudi Arabia.

Job Specifications:
The job of the Child Psychiatrist Consultant is to provide psychiatric oversight to the Center’s programs and services through the children’s clinic.

Purpose of the post
∙ To undertake psychiatric assessments of children and young people referred to
∙ To contribute to child, parenting and family assessments in THE CHILDREN'S CLINIC
∙ To contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and development of THE CHILDREN'S CLINIC
∙ To contribute to audit and research as appropriate
∙ To provide consultation, teaching, and training to external visitors and allied professionals on occasion
∙ There are no on call duties for this post.

The Child Psychiatrist reports to the Director.

Specific responsibilities include:
∙ Psychiatric Evaluations, Assessments and Discharge Summaries
∙ Provide Individual and Family or Collateral Psychotherapy
∙ Review and approve client treatment plans
∙ Provide psychiatric consultations as member of treatment team
∙ Participation in treatment team meetings
∙ Participate in Center-sponsored research projects
∙ Medication management
∙ Follow-up recommendations on evaluations for Center clients
∙ Consultation regarding diagnostic changes
∙ Calling parents when diagnosis changes
∙ Additional responsibilities as assigned

Service Evaluation, Monitoring and Development
1. To contribute to the evaluation, monitoring and development of the service.

1. To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice of the post-holder’s professional body.
2. One administrator supports the THE CHILDREN'S CLINIC team with booking appointments and administrative support in the preparation of reports.

1 To attend and participate in staff and THE CHILDREN'S CLINIC team meetings.

Established in 2007 and now leaders in placement of qualified and experienced international medical staff at Middle Eastern hospitals (Qatar, UAE, Saudi-Arabia, Kuwait etc) and now also Russia and Nigeria.
Global Medical Recruiting will assist you, the applicant with the following (note: you will not be liable to pay fees to us as we are paid by our clients the hospitals):
1. Creating an International Standard CV.
2. Submitting your CV to several hospitals at once (in countries of your choice).
3. Liaise between yourself and the hiring hospitals for feedback on CV submitted.
4. Arrange for Telephonic / SKYPE / in person interviews.
5. Send the Offer of employment to you with relevant information regarding the offer, employer, country etc.
6. Assist you with acceptance of the offer and submission of all relevant documentation. (Note: On acceptance of an offer of employment - you need to budget for the following expenses: Police clearance certificate, Medical/blood test, Authentication fees and Credentialing fees. The afore-mentioned is paid directly to the relevant supplier of the service for ex medical/blood test fees will be paid to the relevant physician/medical practice you chose and used and NOT to Global Medical Recruiting. Requirements regarding the afore-mentioned documentation differs from hospital to hospital and between countries
7. Assist you with Verification / Credentialing (Clinical Staff) and all recruitment requirements.
8. Liaise with the employer regarding issuing of your entry visa into the country.
9. Advise you on when it is safe to resign.
10. Book your flight and meet & greet at the airport.
11. Be in contact with your after you start at your new employer and assist with any problems / further requirements.

Minimum requirements:
EDUCATION: MSc Clinical Neuropsychiatry or Master of Psychiatry. Preferred: (M.D.) Doctor of Medicine Degree or (D.O.) Doctor of Osteopathic degree from an accredited school of medicine obtained in Arab, European and Western countries (UK, Australia, NZ, USA Canada, RSA).
EXPERIENCE: Post graduate experience of at least 2 years working in a similar position. Experience with autism is required.
LICENSURE: Current and valid license in country of origin.
AGE: Not exceeding the age of 50.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English essential. Arabic an advantage.
BOARD CERTIFICATION: For physicians Board certification required. American Board, Arab Board, MRC UK, or equivalent required.
