• General knowledge of accounting
o differentiate balance sheet, cash flow, opex, capex
o understanding of inventory systems
§ FIFO, actual value and rolling average value systems
§ inventory tracking of raw material from order and acquisition, through inventory of interim manufactured components, to inventory and sale of final manufactured goods
• Willingness to work in an office on farm instead of in the city
• Comfort and confidence in developing a comprehensive accounting system
• Experience in budgeting and requirements/performance forecasting
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
o setup and maintenance of ledgers/applications/reports
o use of linking and cell references
o use and development of automated applications
